For a long time, slipper chairs remained behind closed doors. Dating back to 18th-century Europe, the armless upholstered chair with short legs was designed for women’s dressing rooms out of necessity. Since Victorian women often wore restrictive layers of clothing—tight corsets with wide petticoats—they needed assistance with slipping on their shoes.
We have given this beautifully curved slipper chair a real make-over. Working with our signature blue stripes, we have carefully created an individual stuffed stripe of colour, creating a soft pillow for each section. Finished off with brass studs that follow the curves arond the chair.
As the these little chairs were designed for ladies, they are small in size but pack a punch. We think they would look fab in a dressing room or bathroom as a unique piece of furniture.
