The Super Sparrow ceramics was founded by Lilly Mandarano, the designer-maker who creates each pieces. The Super Sparrow aesthetic and ethos is relaxed and natural with a minimalist inspired style.

Lilly is inspired by the natural world, including the soft curves of well worn stones and natural surfaces. The range is designed to be entirely functional, yet feel lovely to use.

Making ceramics takes time; each stage is important and as clay has a memory, each piece tells its own story. Each piece is hand-built and glazed, ensuring they have personality and uniqueness.

Lilly also runs workshops and one-to-one lessons from her studio in Deptford, SE London. She enjoys giving students the space and opportunity to enjoy working with clay.

Wall Planter

These wall planters were developed when I wanted to create a lovely planter for the wall of our balcony. They deliver impact and charm to any outside wall. Pop in a small succulent or hanging plant to add personality to any space. It's best if a handful of small stones are added to bottom of the planter before adding the soil to allow for sufficient drainage for your plant.
I use a flecked stoneware which has a lovely creamy colour and natural dark speckles which come out in the final firing. As every piece is individually made colours and shapes will vary slightly, giving them character.
