An old vintage domed travel trunk from the early 1900s. A great example of a classic high-top steamer trunk from the wonderful era of ocean cruises and steam trains. The trunk belonged to Mrs J de V Lockett and travelled extensively around western Europe. The trunk has lots of colourful hotel, train and shipping labels. It is also constructed from compressed fibre with a wooden carcass which brings the original beauty to the fore front. Furthermore, the travel trunk has been finished with leather corners, handles and brass plates on its edges to give it that touch of extra luxury.
The distressed rustic aesthetic of this trunk is inspiring - making it an excellent feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study. A classic antique travel trunk from the golden age of travel, this wonderful piece would be warmly welcomed in any room.
