The classic Mossman Navy Steamer Trunk is a beautiful example of a steamer trunk and Mossman have been handcrafting them since 1938. Steamer trunks first appeared in the 1870s and were ever present on long journeys up until the 1920s. Originally called "packer" trunk but over the years the name steamer trunk has stuck. The name derives from the location of their storage in the cabin of a steam ship. Nowadays they make the perfect hold all and look splendid in living rooms, kitchens or bedrooms.
Constructed from the highest quality 5.5mm plywood, which is bonded to a choice of coloured durable leather-grain effect PVC vinyl's.
