The luxurious rug is handwoven from 90% jute and 10% cotton. Jute is a form of plant that produces a fiber spun into long threads that can then be woven into a durable textile. It grows best in warm climates with a monsoon season, which is why it has been one of the main exports of India for thousands of years. It only takes 4-6 months for jute plants to reach maturity, making jute home accessories a sustainable choice, too.
