Description

A green linen cushion with an ikat-inspired weave to bring a gentle dose of sage green colour and softly blended pattern to any room. Oblong in shape, this is a cushion that sits prettily in front of a bed’s pillows or with a larger square cushion on a sofa or armchair.
To ensure its as comforting to lean into as it is on the eye, we’ve filled it with a plump feather filling that is, naturally, ethically sourced. The cushion is sealed with a discreet zip .
Ikat is a particularly sophisticated design used by high-end fabric houses and interior designers. Its roots and origins are from Indonesia, (Ikat in Indonesian languages means 'bind'). The process is similar to tie-dye and batik, however, to create an Ikat design, the dye is applied to the yarns before they are woven into the cloth, whereas for tie-dye and batik, the dye is applied to the completed, woven cloth. Ikat is produced in many traditional textile centres around the world, including India to Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
