Description
Hand-crafted and hand-painted porcelain candleholder Funtasma with 3 arms from the Folkifunki collection designed by Spanish artist and industrial product designer Jaime Hayon for Portuguese luxury brand Vista Alegre. Dominated by blue and red watercolour accents with gold detailing, the shape of this decorative piece is very folkloric, with a dash of surreal and humorous approach. The level of craftsmanship that goes into producing each of these porcelain decorative pieces, makes this a very special set.
With this Folkifunki collection, the artist has created a number of unique pieces of art, each with its own individual character. Following an increasingly common trend of combining distinct forms in a striking artistic direction, each piece can be easily used with the other elements from the collection or be presented on its own. The inspiration of the details that constitute each piece comes from rural Portugal. Iconic elements like the rooster, the fishes, the animals, as well as the countryside and the details of the tiles, all translated through fantastic imagination, which has no limits.
