You place plants in the Sky Planter in the same way as you usually would with ordinary flower pots. Only as a finishing touch, a fine-meshed net and a clamping ring on top ensure that the soil and the plants remain neatly in place when the planter is hung upside down.
The basis for smart irrigation is the innovative Slo-Flo technology. Water is stored in a unique porous terracotta reservoir and gets directly to the roots for even watering. Hence you only need to water the plants every few days. A filling rod shows you the water level. Depending on the plant, the water will last for more than a week at average temperatures. Of course, you must top up a little earlier in hot weather.
