Care for the planet with our new 100% biodegradable slippers

Leading commercial textiles specialist The Fine Cotton Company has carefully curated 100% biodegradable, completely natural slippers at highly competitive pricing for use within the comfort of your home. Their new open-toe Lyndhurst and Somerset slipper collections, priced at £25 each per pair, will help to reduce environmental pollution generated by their plastic footwear counterparts, which have to be incinerated or will end up in landfill when they’ve reached the end of their use.
The Fine Cotton Company’s founder Jane Robson explains: “We are delighted to help tackle the issue of waste, which is caused by plastics that tend to be found in this super-smart, hotel-style slipper. Our new collections are 100% biodegradable and enable homeowners to simply discard of them as they see fit at the end of their lives with the confidence that they will not end up fully intact in landfill for years to come.”
The new 100% cotton eco slippers collections, the Lyndhurst and Somerset, feature the styles you would find in a luxury hotel or spa and features include cotton piping detail around the sole, classic waffle (Lyndhurst) or cosy cotton velour (Somerset) on the upper and inner sole and a 6mm felted plant fibre padding for additional comfort. This is complemented by a high-density, water-resistant, recycled card sole covered with natural, coarse weave cotton cloth and rubber eco-dots with superb non-slip qualities.
These designs replicate the slipper styles you would find in luxury hotels and spas. The Fine Cotton Company is renowned for working with leading hotels and spas on providing them with a variety of high-quality textiles, ranging from bedding and towels to bath robes and slippers, including Lyndhurst and Somerset.
You can choose from a beautiful shade of fern green or white in one size (6-8) for the Lyndhurst collection or pristine white for Somerset. There is even an option to order different sizes for the Somerset collection (3-6, 6-8 0r 9-11).

Versatility reigns with The Fine Cotton Company’s new washable throws

Leading residential (and commercial) textiles specialist The Fine Cotton Company has designed and curated washable throws in six distinctive colours for the new Lisbon Cotton Herringbone Blanket and Throw Collection, providing an easy cleaning option for homeowners. The Lisbon Cotton collection has also been meticulously designed to be super-soft in an elegant herringbone pattern, which makes it fit for a king, with the coronation on the horizon.
This new collection can create a luxurious layered look on beds in luxury master bedrooms and guest rooms, with a range of sizes from standard to extra-large. However, this new style is so versatile, it lends itself just as well as a cosy blanket to complement garden seating and even for picnics in the standard 130 x 180cm size, with the option of a leather carry strap.
The Fine Cotton Company’s director Jane Robson explains: “Woven and produced in Portugal, our new Lisbon collection is sustainably sourced and it features a 100% cotton, classic herringbone weave with a luxurious brushed finish. Meticulous attention has been paid to every detail to ensure this throw is ultra-durable, yet super-soft, and can withstand regular machine-washing and tumble-drying, for a quick, easy solution for busy households.
The Lisbon collection features a turned stitched hem or a blanket-stitched edge, which makes it suitable for laundering at 30 degrees or professional dry-cleaning. You can choose from six colours – Grey/Ivory, Charcoal Grey, Fern Green/Ivory, Marine Blue, Navy/Ivory and Red/Ivory - with more on-trend shades, including Pale Pink and Olive Green, due to launch later this year. Sizes vary - 130 x 1180cm for a single bed throw/outdoor blanket, 130 x 24ocm for a double/king bed throw and 130 x 270cm for a king/super king bed throw.
Jane adds: “Full-size blankets (260 sq cm) are also available and we even make scatter cushions and bespoke colours to help you achieve the coordinated, individual look you require for a practical, unique design aesthetic for your home.”

Other washable throw collections from The Fine Cotton Company include the Madison Cotton Throw in 100% cotton matelasse, priced from £120, with a beautiful, textured finish and four soothing shades to choose from – Pink, Mushroom, Grey/Ivory and Blue/Ivory. The Portofino Cotton Waffle Blankets & Throws, priced from £90, is another textured washable collection in the classic waffle style, which features eight different colours including Latte, Dusty Pink, Mustard and Dark Blue.
