British stoneware specialist Habulous have unveiled a new collection designed to showcase the quirky side of biophilia.
Introducing Air Plant Holders.
Inspired by the natural world, these beautiful mini planters have been created to display air plants – a range of plant species that rely on the water in the air, not soil, for nutrients.
Among the collection are ceramic whales, jellyfish and birds and each piece has been designed so that the air plants form part of the animal’s characteristics.
Choose a bird and the air plant will make up its beautiful plumage, while in the jellyfish design, the plants will represent the tentacles. And when it comes to the majestic whale, the air plants will emerge from its blowhole.
Nicky Edmunds, Founder of Habulous and the designer behind the Air Plant Holders, said: “Biophilia is a massive trend in interior design and one that is not going anywhere. And while big, bold houseplants are often the go-to, these Air Plant Holders show another side to the trend.
“They are cute, packed with character and are just a little bit of fun.
“And they are ideal for use in compact spaces, where large houseplants would overwhelm and dominate.”
Like all of Habulous’ ceramics, each piece is crafted by hand and therefore completely unique.
Ideal for gifting, they are available to buy in a range of sizes and with or without air plants.
Nicky added: “This is a collection that not only brings colour and greenery into the home, but does it in a very fun style”
Habulous’ collection of Air Plant Holders are available now, with prices starting at £18.50.
