Artisan textile designer launches new collection for Spring 2025

Colour abounds in the new throw collection from artisan textile designer J.J. Textile.


Created for Spring 2025, the new range is inspired by the flora and fauna of the natural world, as well as the animals which inhabit it.


Each piece in the 16-strong collection is manufactured from wool and has been designed by J.J. Textile’s founder Jurate Jakstaite.


Jurate said: “The natural world is a stunning source of inspiration. Whether it’s the sea life that play in the oceans, the pets that bring us so much joy or the colourful florals that brighten up our everyday lives, nature sparks my imagination.”


Highlights from the collection include the Whale Wool Throw. Crafted from the finest Merino wool, the Whale Throw is resplendent in vibrant shades of teal and navy.


This big blue blanket, which measures a huge 130cm x 190cm, captures the depths of the deep blue and features stunning illustrations of whales as they play in the water.


Similarly, the Honeycomb Yellow Wool Throw is a bold hue that will add a pop of brightness wherever it is used – be it on a bed, a sofa or outdoor furniture. It has a subtle geometric design that is a sweet nod to honeycomb and is crafted from 100% pure wool. A lime version is also available.


Those homeowners looking for something a little more pared back should check out the My Roses Beige Merino Wool Throw. Subtle and sweet, it features beautiful rose detailing inspired by Jurate’s own garden.


She said: “All my work is so personal but this piece, inspired by my own cottage garden, has a very special place in my heart.”
