According to research, UK consumers are wanting to buy more second-hand homeware and shop more sustainably. 71% of consumers bought or sold used goods in 2023, with homeware proving to be the second highest category purchased behind fashion [1]. The top 2 reasons for buying second-hand items in the UK were cited as being for environmental reasons, followed by the cost of living crisis [2].
