About the Larson Design

The design idea of an antique dining bench is re-imagined as a relaxed, loose-covered, three-seater sofa. Larson’s slim ‘pea-shaped’ scrolled arms with gentle pleats accentuate its silhouette. Contrasting borders work to personalise the style - for a sophisticated twist on a design classic.

Design Backstory

Huutt’s Swedophile founder, Jenny Granger, explains the trigger for the design story: “the bench-style shape gives a gentle nod to the charming watercolours by the Swedish painter and illustrator, Carl Larsson (1853 – 1919) and the artist’s charming depiction of interior scenes of bucolic family life.”

For spaces grand or petite, the Larson will help to inject a spirited outside-in vibe, layering any interior scheme with a feeling of joyfulness to last throughout the seasons.

Huutt’s continued focus is on meticulous British craftsmanship and creative design using luxurious natural and sustainable fabrics. Furniture is finely crafted at Huutt’s Derbyshire atelier and delivered in 8-10 weeks. For more bespoke options, longer lead times may apply.
