Elegant, luxury upholstered furniture with a vintage X modern twist. Fully handcrafted in the UK, including the metal work which is made and sprayed locally. Every piece is designed by us with sustainability, functionality and beauty in mind.

Our Story

Founded by Husband and Wife team, their joint passion for product and architectural design and practical abilities grew from a sewing hobby and tradesman career into the bespoke furniture and upholstery business Fox & Furb is today.

Their range features a collection of unique, handmade products and furniture using bold colour-ways, unique curves and all with sustainable, fun & functional design at the heart of all their ideas.

Their iconic product, 'The Foldstool' is a new and innovative space saving solution offering a beautifully upholstered footstool that compacts flat to slide under the sofa or coffee table when not in use.

This original innovation lit the fire for Fox & Furb to expand on their innovative ideas towards a collection of beautifully hand-crafted products that are multi-functional, bold and full of personality.

Important milestones

Fox & Furb was featured on BBC1, Make it at Market, series 2 alongside Dominic Chinea and mentor Michaela Sharp in November 2023.

Following the show release, Fox & Furb hosted a Pop Up shop in John Lewis & Partners and launched a host of new products including their in house designed home-wear collection featuring signature brand wiggles and bright checkerboard patterns.

Flo, their signature wiggly bar stool has been featured in Reclaim & Living Magazine, 2024.

Hayley received an award from The Livery of Upholders in London for her traditional upholstery refurbishing services, 2023.

Team spotlight

Founder Hayley, is lead maker, an AMUSF qualified upholsterer who also studied product design with the OU when her children were small. Since her children headed to secondary school, her combination of skill and design passion developed into a unique range of new furniture that she co-designed with her husband alongside the reupholstery side of the business.

Husband and co-founder, Martin is the lead designer for their furniture. He works their ideas into prototypes, designs components and guides their concepts through to final products. With a trade background he has the practical ability to compose unique pieces, mixed with a passion for architectural design. 

All their furniture and homewares are designed in house by Hayley and Martin and they source local makers, such as their local Blacksmith, to maintain in house manufacturing.

No shop brought frames here.

Looking ahead

Fox & Furb has big plans for this year, including launching new furniture to complete the current range, working with Glasette to showcase their curations and collaborating with interior designers including Siobhan Murphy from Interior Curve.

They have big plans for 2024.
