FANTIN: UNION OF FORM AND FUNCTION

IN INCA, MALLORCA

In Inca, in the heart of the island of Mallorca, Chiara Ferrari has recently breathed new life into a leather factory dating back to 1934, in a renovation project steeped in refined minimalism that celebrates its industrial essence. 

There's a strong modernist flavour to the two-storey building, which serves a number of purposes: as well as a home and an office space, it’s a cultural venue and meeting place, where Fantin's solutions are ideal for the functional definition of the space.

The building was renovated by Chiara Ferrari and consists of two floors.

The first floor, now identified as "110", is designed to be a multifunctional space open to the public, a point of reference for the island's creative community, while on the second floor, at "108", the same compositional minimalism pervades the architect's house/studio.
