Designed by Deanna Comellini, Kama has revolutionized the contemporary rug industry and become part of design history.
With an artistic vision of the project rather than an industrial one, Deanna Comellini was driven by the desire to explore the design process, from the research of natural fibers and technical yarns to new weaving systems.
The result of years of experimentation, this rug features a rich and thick hand-woven viscose that captures light and allows it to fluctuate on its weave. This unique, one-of-a-kind rug is produced with mass dyed yarn is hand-woven on traditional looms. Through the irregular cut of the fibers, its texture appears so sumptuous, wild, and seductive that it is named after the Indian God of Love, or "Kama."
