Are you surprised to know that Londoners feel the least rooted to their city than anywhere else in the UK? Only a quarter of people in London (24%) have said they wouldn’t want to relocate, signalling the majority would be up for a change in location.
Wayfair, the leading online destination for all things home, has revealed insights on the capitals feelings associated with home, following a recently commissioned YouGov consumer survey on more than 2,000 UK adults*.
Residents in London were the highest percentage who are currently renting a property alone (16%) and were the least likely group to say they were 'happy with my housing situation' (42%) compared to the rest of UK regions.
Londoners were also more likely than other regions to want to have more space at home (28%) and the least likely to see their home as a place for relaxation (63%)
Out of all the options available, the Great British seaside is calling, with 1 in 4 Londoners most wanting to relocate to the coast (25%).
When upping sticks just isn’t an option, Londoners can simply bring the coastal lifestyle to them, through clever interior choices and unique picks.
