Step inside the Lake Haus, a boutique accommodation offering created by Aussie interior stylist Tim Neve.
An iconic home in the centre of Smiths Lake, a seaside village on Australia's east coast.
Well known for his relaxed take on coastal style, Tim's decorative scheme is a study of neutral but warm tones enlivened by textural choices throughout.
Almost everything in the home is pulled from his personally designed ranges: 'Muse' textile homewares and the most recent Debut furniture collection. Sculptural furnishings feature an organic influence, executed in natural materials like rattan and travertine. His scatter cushions and upholstery are executed in tactile linens, mixing an earthy pallete.
"This is my third consecutive holiday home project" Tim shared, "Each one has evolved to become a stronger version of the one before, inspired by the same laid-back aesthetic."
Once you’re inside the Lake Haus you step into a world of your own. The lush and dense tropical landscaping creates a barrier to the outside world. It’s architecturally stunning indoors with quality finishes throughout - polished concrete floors underfoot, and soaring raked ceilings overhead. Natural light bounces throughout the spaces no matter what time of day. In the central living area upstairs, you can leave the huge stacker doors open to the elements, letting the lake breezes flow through the home.
Every corner provides a designer statement: like the stunning alfresco stone feature wall, antique terracotta tile kitchen splashback or floor to ceiling linen sheer curtains. Limited edition artworks adorn the walls from renowned Australian artists including Bonnie Gray and Jai Vasicek.
Travellers can book a Summer escape to the Lake Haus on Airbnb, where Tim has been crowned with the coveted Superhost status: www.airbnb.com/h/smithslakehaus
