A beautiful five-acre property was purchased by Rom and Katie Lamaro and their three children in Ventnor, Phillip Island, in 2018. Their rundown land has been transformed into a picturesque and functioning micro-farm since they purchased it. Over 90 fruit trees and nut trees are now in the fully enclosed orchard, and extensive vegetable gardens will provide abundant produce in the coming years. The chickens, goats, sheep, and highland cows are beautiful pets as well as crucial contributors to creating nutrient-rich compost for growing organic, nutrient-dense food for the family and the local community.
As part of their efforts to make the property more sustainable, Rom and Katie installed a solar system that outputs 9.5 kw, a worm farm septic system, and rainwater tanks that irrigate the orchard and vegetable gardens.
You can explore every corner of the Island, including nature park attractions, the world-famous penguin parade, wineries, coastal walks, and a stunning array of beaches, right from Five Acres. You may also choose to hide away in your own private sanctuary, Each of the three cabins has sweeping views of the Western Port Bay, surrounded by stunning rolling farmland.
The latest addition to the property is the new private event space. This space has been furnished with SATARA's Arc Lounge Chairs, Aero Cord Lounge Chairs, Float Stools, Aurora Stools and a selection of furs. It has been a pleasure working with Katie to style it with beautifully designed Satara furniture, ready to host a range of intimate gatherings.
