Feathr collaborates with artist Joanna Charlotte on a stunning new wallcovering range

Feathr, The Home of Artisan Wallpaper, today announces a new wallcovering collaboration with British artist Joanna Charlotte. Based upon an original artwork by Charlotte, 'Vera's Garden' is a dramatic and beautifully realised paean to classical Chinoiserie art. The new wallpaper is available in a range of seven stunning colours, including a sumptuous distressed gold metallic version.

Feathr’s mission is to fill the world with more art and less decoration. To do this, Feathr collaborates with artists from around the world to create original wallcoverings and fabrics. Working collaboratively with Feathr, Joanna developed the creative vision for the Chinoiserie-inspired “Vera’s Garden”. The original artwork was hand-painted in her studio, with painstaking attention paid to the detailing - even down to the individual barbs on the feathers of the peacocks.

The Feathr team then worked to adapt the artwork into a repeatable wallpaper panel. The artwork has been lovingly reproduced so that none of the original detail has been lost. Cleverly, the lower half of the design is verdant and rich - featuring peacocks, flora and fauna - whilst the upper half is more open. This balance allows Vera’s Garden to provide drama, but also be easy to integrate into an interior design scheme.
