It might be one of the most of divisive of interior trends, but it looks like 2021 will be the year beige makes it big.
New research from independent tile experts
Porcelain Superstore using Google Trends shows beige is trending higher in 2021 than ever before.
And while beige might be considered boring or bland, Porcelain Superstore’s Abbas Youssefi has his own ideas why the colour has become a firm favourite in the interiors world.
He said: “When it comes to neutrals used throughout the home, the last few years has been dominated by greys. Beige is a natural progression.
“However, unlike grey, it has some seriously warm undertones which a lot of people are craving right now. The world has gone through some strange times over the last year and home has become a sanctuary for many. We are seeing this being reflected in their interior decisions.”
Porcelain Superstore has a wide selection of tiles which land in the beige spectrum. As well as offering a gorgeous backdrop around which to style the rest of your home, Abbas believes beige tiles can give properties a palatial feel.
He added: “There is something about beige that is timeless and it offers a safe bet when it comes to interior chic.”
