Homescapes have added three new gorgeous cushions and footstools to their Kilim collection.

Designed to complement the Kilim rugs, the Agra, Jaipur and Manila cushions and pouffes are handwoven on traditional style looms in India, each horizontal strand is pulled tightly down to create the unique patterns.

The team at Homescapes took inspiration from countries and cities across the world when it came to naming the products, selecting colours and patterns that reflected the culture or landscape of a place.

The Agra for instance, is named after the city of Agra in India, the home of the Taj Mahal, as it evoked feelings of balmy temperatures with its vibrant colours. Woven from wool and combining colours of precious metals, cream and golden-yellow, it’s reminiscent of the colours that can often by seen in the skies framing the Taj Mahal.

The Manila represents the colourful, party vibe associated with the vibrant city of Manila in the Philippines. Similarly, Jaipur, is named after the famous ‘Pink City’ in the state of Rajasthan. Jaipur is known for its mountainous areas, and this is reflected in the dark earthy tones. The added splashes of red and terracotta echo the colour and style of Jaipur’s architectural landscape.
