Named in honor of the ancient Assyrian King, Ashurbanipal, these lively prints illustrate traditional Assyrian motifs including Lamassu, a protective deity with the wings of a bird, body of a bull and a human head. This intricate design also features eagles and magestic lions prowling amoungst stylised palm trees. These great beasts have been symbols of power and kingship since antiquity.
