In the era of social distancing and travel restrictions the personal touch evoked by a hand written note has taken on a whole new power.

Rory Hutton has designed cards and stationary sets for many of the United Kingdom’s best loved museums and galleries as well as for charity fundraisers. Featuring linocuts made during lockdown these packs of 6 blank cards and envelopes are the ideal accompaniment to any stationary cupboard.

No desk should be without a supply of blank cards and envelopes ready for all those unexpected occasions. Ideal for writing thoughtful thank-you notes or simply letting a friend know you are thinking of them.

One of the more positive legacies of lockdown: 'I designed these cards to keep myself busy while my heritage collaborations were in slumber’-Rory Hutton.

Adding flair to your personal correspondence these elegant square cards feature brightly coloured and cheerful designs inspired by eighteenth century chinoiserie motifs and ceramic figures.

Made in the UK and boasting plastic-free packaging, each pack of greetings cards comes in a matching printed card folder, making them ideal for gifting.

Monkey Greetings Cards
This design features a linocut of a monkey surrounded by chinoiserie scrollwork. The monkey holds a fan inspired by a style of whimsical decoration known as 'singerie' where monkeys imitate humam behavior. Each pack costs £9.

Leopard Greetings Cards
The linocut Leopard depicted on these cards was drawn from an eighteenth century ceramic model on display at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. Made by the Derby factory c.1760 and demonstrating a curiosity for the exotic or far-away during the age of the Enlightenment. Rory added the oversized blooms inspired by a bouquet seen on a Sevres charger in the same collection. Each pack costs £9.

Dove Greetings Cards
As lockdown eases and we look forward to breaking free of our cages and socialising again in the coming months this is the ideal card to mark the occasion. The linocut design features Chinoiserie scrollwork, stylised clouds, vases and a bird escaping from a golden cage, birds commonly feature in eighteenth century decorative arts. Each pack costs £9
