Interiors brand FEATHR is on a mission to fill the world with more art and less decoration. FEATHR roam the world collaborating with contemporary artists to create original wallpaper and fabrics.
FEATHR’s new collaboration is with Russian watercolor painter and illustrator Karina Eibatova. Working with FEATHR, Eibativa has remixed eight of her meticulously detailed artworks into contemporary wallcoverings.

Eibatova's work frequently portrays natural objects and phenomena, such as minerals and animals, bringing to life a magical realist world of tropical landscapes, exotic creatures and abstract seascapes. Each of the eight designs in the Fearthr x Karina Eibatova collection are customisable to the size and colour palette of a room.

The lush world of ‘Persian Leopard’ features a finely detailed illustration of a leopard, set against a rich night blue background. Palm fronds and other flora frame the leopard, creating a truly spectacular wallpaper. Persian Leopard is printed on a luxuriously weighty 190g coated wallcovering and available in 150cm (4'11") wide by 320cm (10'6" ) high panels, priced at £99/€119/$129 per panel.

A triumvirate of magical realist murals also feature as part of the collection. ‘Jungle Kingdom’, ‘Warm Jungle World’ and ‘Monkeys with Birds’ all utilise Eibatova’s trademark illustrative style to bring to life tropical flora and fauna, along with fantastic beasts such as pangolins, elephants, lemurs and emus.

Muted earth and sage green colour palettes introduce the tropical elements without overpowering. Meanwhile, details on the birds and animals are picked out in colours including vibrant ochres and cyans. ‘Warm Jungle World’ is available in a single colourway, featuring a calm neutral background.

‘Monkeys with Birds’ and ‘Jungle Kingdom’ are available in a range of background colours, including warm ochre, classic cream and monochrome. Custom colours can also be created and murals can be sized to any wall size. All murals are available on non-woven wallcovering by the square metre at £36/sqm or €45/sqm, or by the square foot at $4.60/sqft. They are also available on hospitality-grade materials with ASTM and IMO certification.

Taking inspiration from higher in the jungle canopy, the ‘Birds Birds’ wallpaper sets the rich and colourful plumage of tropical birds against a backdrop of intricate palm fronds and a sophisticated stone grey background. ‘Birds Birds’ is available in 150cm (4'11") wide by 320cm (10'6" ) high panels, priced at £99/€119/$129 per panel.

The bold Arts & Craft inspired pattern of ‘Flower Obsession’ takes a single detail from Karina’s artworks - petals, stigma - supersizing and repeating them to stunning effect. With its soft blush tones set against a taupe background, this unique floral wallpaper marries together drama and romance. ‘Flower Obsession’ is available in 150cm (4'11") wide by 320cm (10'6" ) high panels, priced at £99/€119/$129 per panel.

The ocean is also a constant source of inspiration for Eibatova, as seen in her ‘Sparkling Sea’ wall mural for Feathr. This captures glittering waves she observed when swimming in the Aegean Sea, with the originally artwork using blue and turquoise watercolours to replicate the memory.
