The story of KONA CAVE® is an adventure of travel, love and a Jack Russell named Kona. Kristen Geldermann, founder of KONA CAVE®, went from Hawaiian beach girl to New York City Ralph Lauren executive before traveling the world, falling in love and moving to Germany.  

In Germany, Kristen was thrilled to be able to bring Kona to restaurants with her, but she did not like him lying on cold, hard, dirty floors. This lead her to design the Travel Dog Bed: a stylish, folded dog bed, easily carried by shoulder straps that she could take everywhere.

KONA CAVE® is also the home of the patented Snuggle Cave Bed, which Kristen designed when she couldn’t find a beautiful, high-quality dog bed that fulfilled all of Kona’s natural sleeping instincts.
