May 2019 – British homewares designer Sophie Allport has launched a new Chelsea Flower Show mug. Hand decorated and fired in Stoke on Trent, Sophie’s illustration depicts the perfect Chelsea scene.
Set amongst a garden of oriental poppies, foxgloves and alliums, a jolly Chelsea Pensioner perches alongside a pair of hedgehogs. Dragonflies, bumblebees and butterflies flutter above The Great Pavilion, which peeps out from behind a glass greenhouse and drinks marquee. 

Sophie Allport has been exhibiting at the Chelsea Flower Show since 2010. Held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea the show inspires over 150,000 visitors from around the world across five days. “I absolutely love Chelsea,” explained Sophie. “It’s one of the highlights of our year. We love seeing all our customers and as a keen gardener I look forward to seeing all the gardens and displays which are so inspirational. I hope our mug will make a lovely souvenir for visitors and remind them of their special day.”

'Chelsea Flower Show 2019' is written on the inside rim of every mug in Sophie’s distinctive handwriting.
