The Curious Department, an emerging design studio and "Top Brand to Watch in 2017"*, who specializes in the creation of quality art & prints, home accessories and ethical taxidermy, are pleased to announce that their first fine bone china collection, 'Insect Mandala', is now available to purchase from thecuriousdepertment.com.

'Insect Mandala' melds beetles, ants and flies into dazzling complimentary patterns across the 6 peice collection, including The Tea Cup & Saucer, Coffee Mug, 6” Breakfast Bowl, 8” Side Plate, 10” Dinner Plate and a 12” Carver Plate. Designed in their London studio, each item is silk-screen printed onto Staffordshire fine bone china, with hand applied gold gilding. 

Serving up some playful eccentricity, with a small dose of high drama.

The china range was first launched through a Kickstarter campaign in January of this year, which originally set out to raise £5,000 through pre-orders, but smashed through the target, raising a total of £9,709, with 81% of orders from the US, 11% from Europe and 6% from as far as Australia and Japan.
