To share is to give away a part of yourself; is to linger and to go across the world at the same time.

At BRABBU, the process of sharing begins in a blank paper and never quits evolving. That blank paper turns into something even more real when the designer dreams and the craftsmen create. Eventually, the product that results from this, will perpetuate the dream and so it lives on. That’s sharing. The blank paper meets
colors, textures and other materials, and travels with a mission, with a message. From BRABBU to the world.

BRABBU finds inspiration in the world cultures, channels it into contemporary furniture pieces and then gives it back, hoping that these pieces can be part of spaces fulfilled with memories and unique sensations.

We’ve been sharing our passion for design for a long time now, and one of the places that
has kindly taken on our love is France. With this country, we divide the devotion for whatever is beautiful. Because there’s so much in common, BRABBU’s message found acceptance here. Many of our design pieces can be found in restaurants, hotels and shops, mainly, but not only, in Paris – the city of lights, love and design. Today, we share that with you.

Hotel Providence
The 18 rooms of the 1854 Haussmannien building, have been individually decorated by interior designer Sophie Richard, in the past December 2015. The hotel now offers its guests a lot more than its history, it also offers beautiful interiors, and with them goes a bit of BRABBU’s story.
Most rooms have patterned velvet wallpapers, Art Deco lighting fixtures, oversized brass coffee-tables, and velvet, delicate in their forms, armchairs and two-seat sofas; in this particular case, MAYA by BRABBU. Setting a contemporary guest experience out of a speak-easy aesthetic, Sophie Richard found in the MAYA armchairs and sofas, the perfect elements to reinvent the Parisian boutique hotel.

Le Bon Marché
The oldest department store of the Rive Gauche, property of LVMH Luxury Group, sells a wide range of high-end
goods, and has an elegant, refined atmosphere. The building generates surprise and promotes a way of life that transforms shopping into «art de vivre». This sense of magic charm was the link between the store and BRABBU, and in 2015 that link turned even stronger when our MALAY armchairs became part of the furniture inside the shop. Visitors may experience the luxury feeling throughout the space that is now supported by the 8 armchairs and 1 sofa, upholstered in different opulent fabrics. That’s how the ethnicity that started out belonging to BRABBU, became property of the luxury world of Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche.

Hotel CastelBrac

The CastelBrac Hotel, located in Dinard, is another project of interior design in which BRABBU pieces have been included. A 25-room hotel, in a
19th century
villa. In 1934 it became a research station and marine aquarium, due to the initiative of the Commandant Charcot.
Because of the theme around the concept of the hotel, the decoration is all about motives related to the sea. These details are present in the KOI center tables by BRABBU. This center table is inspired by a koi carp, a recurring symbol of Japanese culture. Its natural color mutations reveal their ability to adapt, just as this very table. The KOI scales that are on the sides of the tables shine and reflect - on the brass surface – the sun in any clean water. The interiors were designed by Sandra Benhamou by the end of 2014 and the photos are of Emilie Agniel , a reference photographer, and reflect the marine atmosphere of the Hotel Castel Brac, with its blue and golden decoration.

Hermès
Hermès means inspiration for thousands of people around the globe, and BRABBU couldn’t stay indifferent to that inspiration. And now BRABBU is part of the luxury brand’s world. In fact, our MAA armchair and MAASAI sofa can be found in the store located in the charming rue Saint-Honoré in Paris since late 2015.The neutral color scheme used in the interior design of the store, gives visitors a sense of relaxation, a very welcoming finesse. Every detail in the décor is harmoniously set, the way that only RDAI - the agency responsible for the interiors – could do.

These four public spaces in France are not secrets we want to keep for ourselves; in fact, they are places we want to see flourish, succeed, and take BRABBU’s spirit with them. Ultimately, we all will share our story.
