MYK professes a convergence of creative ideas inspired by fashion, art, and interior design. MYK's objects comprise the intention of soft sculptures and cosy furniture made out of pompons. The pompons,  adopted accessory from fashion design, are transformed by MYK  into refined art objects and so far unseen living accessories. All are meticulously handcrafted in Germany , each being of unique nature. Up to 1500 pompons out of 50kg superior merino wool are manufactured into one object.. The material and the skillful processing are subject to the highest quality standards.
MYK was set up in 2010 by the academically qualified fashion designer Myra von Busekist. She studied fashion design in Germany and Spain and has since been working professionally as a designer. She develops and handcrafts the soft sculptures at her studio in Berlin assisted by a young design team and handcrafting women out in the country. Blossom patterns and animal-specimens are hand bundled into the pompons, multicolor arrangements emerge out of these woolen balls: The collection of MYK includes carpets/isles, cushions and poufs,upholstered vintage chairs and stools but also life size animal skins such as a bear. tiger and a snow leopard.
